SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir separatist leader Asiya Andrabi has been booked in FIR for unfurling Pakistan flag on its national day in Srinagar.
According to a report, the case has been filed under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
Asiya is the chief of the Dukhtaran-e-Millat women’s wing which is associated with the Hurriyat and is one of the most prominent separatist leaders.
She is alleged to have not only unfurled the Pakistani flag but also sang its national anthem along with some of her supporters.
Meanwhile, the controversy over tweets by Minister of State for External Affairs General VK Singh refuse to die down.
Singh was forced to clarify his stand and he said that he is fully committed to the government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He blamed the media for the controversy and also rubbished rumours of his resignation.
