Pakistan lodges protest to India over civilian causality in unprovoked firing

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has called upon India to restrain its security forces from firing on the civilians and stop the ceasefire violations across the Line of Control (LoC) and the Working Boundary.

According to Foreign Office Spokesperson, Pakistan has lodged protest with India over the casualty of a sixty-year old civilian Muhammad Aslam in the Rawlakot sector due to indiscriminate firing by the Indian security forces.

The man was an inhabitant of the area and was engaged in grass cutting 150 meters inside the LoC on Pakistan side.

Earlier, India forces on Saturday once again resorted to indiscriminate firing across the Line of Control (LoC) in Rawalkot killing a 60-year-old civilian.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Indian forces violated the ceasefire at the Working Boundary.

Pakistani civilian Muhammad Aslam was killed as he was cutting grass near the LoC area of Polas.

The ISPR said that Pakistani forces effectively responded the Indian aggression and silenced the Indian firepower.
