Samsung Galaxy A7 vs Galaxy S5: Which one is better?

SEOUL: Samsung Finally announced its first smartphone of 2015, highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy A7 with high end specs.

Let’s have a quick comparison with company’s flagship Smartphone Samsung Galaxy S5.

The device had made several appearance online before company made it official.   The Galaxy A7 (SM-A700) is now the most feature-packed smartphone in the Galaxy A series.

Similar to the previous two A series smartphones, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3, the device features a slim 6.3mm metal unibody.

In terms of specs, it is the most advance and high-end smartphone of A series, which features, a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED HD display. It is powered by an an octa-core processor (1.8GHz and 1.3GHz quad-core processors), 2Gb of RAM, 16GB internal storage with a microSD slot.

A 2,600 mAh battery, 13-megapixel primary camera on the back with autofocus, LED flash, and 1080p video recording abilities. The 5-megapixel front-facing camera can be used to click enhanced selfies, thanks to features like Wide Selfie and Beauty Face. Even the rear camera can be used to capture a selfie using the Rear-Cam Selfie feature.

The Galaxy A7 comes with Android 4.4 KitKat, but we think that it will be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop very soon. Priced at €509, the Galaxy A7 will be available for purchase starting the end of Q1 2015.

The device will be available in two variants; a single-SIM version and a dual-SIM version, both featuring LTE connectivity. The single-SIM variant of the Galaxy A7 uses a 32-bit Exynos 5430 chipset with Ericsson M7450 modem, while the dual-SIM variant uses a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor (MSM8x39). Other connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, A-GPS + GLONASS, NFC, microUSB v2.0 port, and a headphone jack.

On the other hand Samsung Galaxy S5 features a 5.1 inch Super AMOLED display with ultra high resolution 1080 x 1920. It is powered by a quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 processor with 2GB RAM, it is available in two storage capacities 16 and 32 GB expendable up to 128 GB via microSD slot.

As far as cameras are concerned, the device features a 16 megapixels, 5312 x 2988 pixels, phase detection autofocus camera with LED flash while 2 megapixels front camera. It also has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, v4.0, A2DP, EDR, LE, apt-X with A-GPS, GLONASS.
