KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has observed mourning day across Sindh on Sunday over worker’s killing under police custody in Karachi last Saturday.
MQM coordination committee announced to extend one-day mourning, appealed shutter-down strike across Sindh on Monday (tomorrow) to protest against worker under police custody.
Senior leader Haider Abbas Rizvi announced to extend mourning across Sindh during 8-hour long protest before Chief Minister House in Karachi.
He said that MQM lodged 8-hour long peaceful protest against worker’s killing and announced one more day to observe mourning. He said that the political party’s protest was not unethical. However, Rizvi announced to shift four dead bodies of MQM workers to Jinnah ground.
MQM supremo Altaf Hussain had given 15-minute deadline to Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah to assure strict action against responsible persons which later ended up without any response by Sindh government.
