Former US president Gorge H.W. Bush hospitalised

WASHINGTON: Former American President George H.W. Bush was rushed to a Houston hospital after experiencing shortness of breath on Tuesday evening.

According to reports, the 90 year-old president suffered shortness of breath on Tuesday evening and immediately rushed to the hospital in ambulance.

Gorge will be held at Houston’s Methodist Hospital for observation, a statement from his office said.

Bush spent nearly two months in the same hospital and was discharged in January 2013 after treatment for a bronchitis-related cough and other health issues.

In June, the senior Bush celebrated his 90th birthday by making a tandem parachute jump near his summer home in Maine.
