KARACHI: K-Electric spokesperson has claimed that power supply system resumed in 50 per cent of affected areas of the metropolis Karachi.
K-Electric engineers managed to find out the solution after successfully retrieving power generation from the National Grid, however, electricity supply restored in rest of affected areas during next one hour. Power supply has been restored to all grid stations in Karachi, he said.
Moreover, National Transmission And Despatch Company Limited (NTDC) spokesperson claimed that electricity has been restored to HUBCO and Jamshoro power plants that would start electricity generation within one hour.
Power restoration was made in several areas including Super Highway, Shah Faisal, Shahrah-e-Faisal, Defence, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Nursery, PECHS, New Karachi, Clifton, Landhi, Korangi and Nazimabad but still mostly areas facing hours long load shedding following the power disconnection.
Electricity supply system confounded following a worst technical fault suffered by the main transmission line of the National Grid early Sunday.
