ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan’s federal interior minister, Chaudhry Nisar, called on Pakistani nation to join war against terrorism with Pakistan military that was now engaged in fight to counter internal threats.
Chaudhry Nisar appealed the nation to provide maximum support to the Pakistani military fighting against terrorism primarily internal threats. He said that the nation must be united just like whole political leadership which shared one table via putting all differences behind to root out terrorism.
Nisar while addressing a press conference in the federal capital Islamabad said, ‘We are at war, Pakistan military is continuously fighting against terrorism for years.’
Nisar revealed that terrorists could repeat Peshawar carnage like incident in Pakistan. He requested that his appeal should be considered for every sector and institution of Pakistan.
He said that the government couldn’t allow terrorists to slaughter their children. He emphasised on masses’ support in the war and termed Pakistani nation as ‘most significant intelligence source’ for Pakistan government and military. Citizens must not felt themselves insecure or unsafe at any moment in Pakistan.
He said that Pakistani military was an Islamic force; which was responsible and accountable, whose targets were never women and children and the troops always took action within boundaries of Islam and humanity.
Pakistan has ability to destroy militants’ stronghold Meranshah but the government and military never did it due to presence of women and children in the tribal part, Nisar said. He said that terrorists along with their families were residing in the country in between our neighbourhoods, cities and provinces.
Pakistani citizens will be given a special number soon to report any uncertain, suspicious terror active for rapid action while each police station across the country was directed to monitor the specified areas.
While commenting about Madrasah networks (Islamic institutions) in Pakistan, Nisar rejected that every Madarah was abetting terrorism and every student who is studying in Madrasah could be considered as terrorist.
He said that Madrasahs were fully cooperating Pakistani leadership to fight against terrorism. He added that media always played vital role for democracy in the country.
