FAISALABAD: Aqeel alias Dr Usman and Arshad Meherban have been hanged to death in Faisalabad district jail, local media reported on Friday night.
Both convicts were offered to record their last statement after being declared ‘healthy’ for execution by doctors, reports revealed.
According to reports, execution videos of the terrorists will be aired on Pakistani channels in order to give tough message to the terrorists.
Relatives of the criminals were present outside the district jailed where the terrorists hanged to death. However, no official statement came up whether the dead bodies to be handed over to the relatives or not.
Death penalty was imposed on Aqeel alias Dr Usman who was involved in an 2009’s attack on Pakistan Army’s General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
Another convict, Arshad Meherban who attacked on former military president Pervez Musharraf, also executed during first phase of death penalties started in Pakistan.
Both terrorists were belonged to Kahuta, a census-designated city and tehsil in the Rawalpindi District of Punjab Province, Pakistan.
