BRISBANE: Australia after achieving remarkable victory against India in the 1st of five-match Test series, now the Aussies are all set to take on India in 2nd Test under the captaincy of Steven Smith at Brisbane.
Australia snatched victory from the men in blue after tight contest thanks to Nathan Lyon’s superb spell of bowling.
On the other hand Indian skipper Virat Kohli at one stage of that match took his team to victory but couldn’t finish the job.
Now both teams are set to take on each other while India couldn’t have the better chance to grab a victory in the absence of Michael Clarke who ruled out from the series after hamstring injury.
Ryan Harris will miss the Gabba Test as well with a slight strain to his quadriceps and Peter Siddle has been dropped from the attack that bowled Australia to victory in the Adelaide Test.
Fast bowler Josh Hazlewood will make his long-awaited Test debut on Wednesday and left-armer Mitchell Starc has been recalled after last playing in the loss to Pakistan in Abu Dhabi.
Australia already announced the playing eleven for the next test while Indian side yet to be announced.
