Blind World Cup 2014 winner: Pakistan lose chance of T20 revenge against India

CAPE TOWN: Pakistan missed closest chance to take revenge of past Twenty20 World Cup defeat against India as the arch-rival bagged Blind World Cup 2014 title with four wickets win after an outstanding fight on Sunday.

Pakistan set a huge target against India in the final match via scoring 389 run over loss of seven wickets. Pakistani batsman Mohammad Jamil played vital role for setting a significant target to the opponents with his 102 runs.

However, Indian batsmen chased 390 target successfully in last over while Pakistani bowlers managed to send only six Indian players to the pavilion.

Pakistani team exhibited outstanding charge via setting back-to-back victories in previous match but unfortunately lost nerves in the final fight against India.

Green Shirts had reached into Finals of last Twenty20 World Cup played at Bangalore in December 2012 but defeated by Indian blind team by 29 runs.
