Hyderabad LPG Blast Death Toll Rises to 4, Over 60 Injured

Hyderabad: The death toll from a devastating blast at an LPG cylinder filling shop in Hyderabad’s Preetabad area increased to four on Friday. The explosion, which occurred on the ground floor of a building in the Zacha Bacha Hospital area left over 60 people with severe burn injuries.

The tragic incident took place along Mir Nabi Bux Town Road in UC-8 of Neerunkot town. The deceased children have been identified as Raheem, Bilal, Hasnain, and Ayan. Emergency treatment was provided to the injured at Liaquat University Hospital (LUH) before many were transferred to Karachi for specialized care.

Among the injured, 18-22 individuals with burns covering 80% to 90% of their bodies were moved to major hospitals in Karachi. Those transferred, according to LUH records, include Ali Raza, 2, Azam, 7, Hasnain, 7, Azam, 9,  Bilal, 11,  Abdul Hadi, 14, Zulfiqar, Dodo, 25, Akram Shah, 38, 35, Ali, Akram, 50, Faizan, 40, Abbas, Raeesudin.

Nineteen injured individuals including nine children and a woman, were brought to the Civil Hospital Karachi.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, along with other ministers, visited the Burns Ward to check on the injured. The Chief Minister assured that the best possible medical treatment is being provided to all patients.
