Maryam Nawaz resigns voluntarily from PMYBL post

LAHORE: Pakistan’s premier daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif has resigned voluntarily from the chairperson post of Prime Minister Youth Business Loan (PMYBL) programme on Wednesday, November 12.

Earlier, The Lahore High Court (LHC) had ordered the federal government on Tuesday to replace Maryam Nawaz with another individual as chairperson of the PMYBL.

The petition was filed against the appointment of her by Zubair Niazi, a local leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Maryam was facing criticism continuously by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and his top leadership. They alleged that Nawaz Sharif appointed her without basis of merit because she was his daughter.
