MQM says struggle for new province to start from Karachi

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Farooq Sattar has said that the country’s resources are occupied by feudal lords and distribution of resources in Sindh is not just.

Khalid Maqbool Siddique said that the struggle of new province will be started from Karachi. He added that Pakistan People’s Party had been turning into an extremist party.

The MQM leaders were speaking to MQM’s supporters who had gathered at the Shahra-e-Quaideen to protest against PPP’s Khursheed Shah’s statement about the word Mohajir. He had said he felt Mohajir was an insulting word.

Khalid said that people of Sindh’s claim that they behaved like Ansar-e- Madina was not right. The migrants (“Muhajirs”) must be accepted as equal citizens of the country, he said.

Hyder Abbas Rizvi said that they also could bring people from all over the county if they had two billion rupees. He added that the MQM didn’t force people to attend its rally like PPP.
