MULTAN: District President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Multan Ejaz Jangua on Sunday boycotted the press conference of party chief Imran Khan.
According to sources, Imran Khan after visiting the families of the stampede victims addressed a press conference, but party’s district president and other office-bearers boycotted the conference over reported differences with party’s Vice-Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
Ejaz Janjua told journalists that he and other district office-bearers of the party were not invited to the press conference. Sources said that PTI Vice-Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi was against the district leadership of the party and ignoring them in party matters. They said that Ejaz Janjua was of the view that the party’s negligence and mismanagement in the stampede should also be probed which irked Qureshi, who is calling the shots nowadays in PTI for being very close to Imran Khan.
