ISLAMABAD: President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain has appointed Admiral Zaka Ullah as the new Naval Chief.
The president approved his appointment on the advice of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Admiral Zaka Ullah was serving as vice admiral in Navy. On the basis of his seniority, he has been promoted to Admiral rank.
The newly-appointed Naval Chief got commission in Pakistan Navy in 1978.
He was recruited in operation branch of Navy.
He also got sword of honor during his naval training.
It is pertinent to mention here that existing Naval Chief Asif Sadila will retire from his post on October 7.
