KARACHI: Singer-turned-Islamic scholar Junaid Jumshed has said it was he who had given the idea of forming a political party to Imran Khan in 1993.
In an interview with a private television, Junaid Jamshed said he would support every single person who stood against this corrupt system.
He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan was doing the right thing.
Junaid said the system running in the country was very wrong. “I don’t like to sing ‘dil dil Pakistan’ in this situation,” he said.
He further said that the citizens were fed up with the corrupt. “If people get a proper system they can become a great nation,” he added.
Junaid Jamshed also said that Imran Khan was his childhood hero.
