Alastair Cook refuses to leave England captaincy

LONDON: England skipper Alastair Cook has refused to quit as captain despite criticism of senior cricketers, Samaa news reported.

According to report, some former cricketers have criticised Cook because of his unreliable performance in the recent Test series against India. Cook failed to perform well in the five-match Test series.

England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has categorically said that it was not certain about keeping Cook as skipper till the 2015 World Cup.
