Zardari directs CM Sindh to take precautionary measures for expected flood

KARACHI: Pakistan People Party (PPP) co-chariman Asif Ali Zardari called on Chief Minister Sindh (CM) Qaim Ali Shah in Karachi on Sunday (today) to discuss expected flood situation in the province, media reported.

At the occasion, the PPP co-chairman said that no negligence would be tolerated in case of flood in the province.

The former president also directed the CM Sindh that Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) and concerned department must be kept on high alert.

In the meet-up Zardari instructed all the Sindh ministers to visit ravines and dams in their localities to keep vigil on flood situation.

He has ordered to cancel leaves of PDMA staff and District Co-ordination Officers (DCO’s) for preventive measures for expected flood situation.
