Bastian Schweinsteiger becomes new Germany captain

BERLIN: Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has been appointed as new Germany’s captain to replace the retired Philip Lahm.

Manger Joachim Low says that Schweinsteiger will be a dignified and noble captain for Germany.

The 30-year-old player, Schweinsteiger will miss his next two games because of a knee injury.

Germany’s goalkeeper Manuel Neuer will be a skipper for two friendly matches.
