ISLAMABAD: The government has designated new Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police Tahir Naveed Alam and he has given with additional charge of Inspector General of Police (IG).
The government has appointed third IG in just few days.
The interior ministry has issue notification in this regard, the ministry has called him from Karachi due to unavailability of the officers.
Earlier the government removed IG Aftab Cheema when he refused to take action against protesters and then acting charge was passed to Khalid Khattak.
The government also removed Khalid Khattak.
