SC shows anger over not evacuating Shahra-e-Dastoor

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) has showed his anger over not following its orders for clearing Shahra-e-Dastoor and has given orders again that one side of the highway must be evacuated to ensure traffic flow.

The SC five member bench headed by Chief Justice Nasir Ul Malik (CJ) continued hearing of possible extra constitutional move.

During the hearing the CJ expressed his anger over continued blockade of Shahra-e-Dastoor and employees of SC still were being checked at the Shahra-e-Dastoor.

Attorney General Salman Aslam Butt said that Pakistan Awami Tehreek PAT was not agreed to shift protest from the highway.

The Attorney General informed that the Government has constituted a committee to evacuate Shahra-e-Dastoor.

Justice Saqib Nisar remarked that protest was every one rights adding that the protest should not deprived other rights.

Let us know if the crowd was not controlled by the Government, Justice Jawwad S Khwaja said.

Justice Asif Saeed Khosa said that matter was not of Shahra-e-Dastoor but was of constitution and democracy and constitution was in danger.

The PAT counsel Muhmmad Ali said that protest has been carried out against 14 PAT activist killings in Model Town Incident.
