Electricity prices hiked in Pakistan except Karachi

ISLAMABAD: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved to increase the electric price up to 0.45 paisa per unit in Pakistan except Karachi.

NEPRA approved the new electric price after hearing the application by Central Power Purchase (CPP).

NPERA has increased the electricity price due to the fuel adjustment of July.

The new price rate will be applied to the all users of the country except K-Electric.

Earlier, NEPRA had decreased the electric price up to 0.08 paisa per unit.
