FO says Pakistan’s policy on drone attacks is clear

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office spokesperson Tasneem Aslam said on Thursday that Pakistan’s policy on drone attacks is clear.

The latest U.S. drone attacks in North Waziristan, in which 16 militants died, have not been verified yet.

In past, the Pakistani government has condemned U.S. drone attacks in the tribal areas of Pakistan.

Pakistani officials have always maintained that these attacks violate its sovereignty and security.

Speaking about the attack at Karachi airport, she said that investigation is underway and added that appropriate action would be taken after receiving the investigative report.

While answering a question about the security situation in neighboring Afghanistan, she said that Pakistan will provide maximum security on the borders during the second round of the Afghan presidential election.
