MIRANSHAH: To eliminate armed conflict and tension between the two groups of outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Taliban Shura has interfered and named Sheikh Khalid Haqqani as the acting chief of TTP-Mehsud group in North Waziristan, media reported.
However, an influential Taliban leader has rejected this report.
According to reports, Taliban Shura has announced ceasefire for two months between the two conflicting TTP groups.
Fierce fighting, going on for week, between two TTP-Mehsud groups has left several Taliban members dead.
It is interesting to note here that Hussaini Network had also tried a peace agreement to stop the clash but it was not successful.
