ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan appreciated the behaviour of PTI party workers and supporters during the rally, media reported.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday protested against the alleged rigging in the elections in Islamabad by organising a large rally.
The statement was issued by the Interior Ministry when the PTI chief Imran Khan was addressing the rally at D-Chowk Islamabad.
Nisar also expressed satisfaction with the security arrangements by police and law enforcement agencies.
He further said that despite security concerns, the event’s security preparations were adequate. Federal and provincial agencies worked with discipline and no incident was reported from any part the country.
He said that it is the beauty of democracy that an opposition party protested and government provided full-fledged facilities and security to avoid any unwanted incident.
