ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister of Pakistan Ishaq Dar on Friday has said that government is seriously considering to bring back illegal assets from Swiss banks, media reported.
Dar said that the government can access information about the amount deposited illegally under the new law of Swiss banks.
The Finance Minister said that the tax agreement between Pakistan and Switzerland is unsatisfactory and a summary to reconsider the tax agreement has been submitted to Cabinet.
On the other hand, Parliamentary Secretary for Finance Rana Afzal has said that Pakistanis have deposited almost $200 billion illegally in Swiss banks.
Afzal also told that a delegation will be sent to Switzerland to bring back money from Swiss banks on August 26, 2014.
