KARACHI: Sheikh Hamad bin Jasim ul Sani and his company Al-Murqab group, who have invested billions of dollars worldwide in banking, hotels, real estates and infrastructures, have decided to establish two coal power plants of 660 megawatts each at Port Qasim in Karachi.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will inaugurate this 1320 megawatts electricity project on May 6.
Usually Al-Murqab invests in hotels, banking and real estate industries but for the first time, this company has agreed to invest in power and infrastructure sector in Pakistan.
