ISLAMABAD: Professor Ibrahim Khan, an intermediator of Taliban committee, said that the Shura of banned militant outfit Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has been contacted formally in order to take forward the ongoing peace dialogues.
Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Shura, a supreme council, sought two days for finalising the decision regarding venue and time, Professor Ibrahim said.
‘Ceasefire extension and release of prisoners would be the part of discussion in upcoming meeting,’ the Taliban intermediator said.
He said that the next meeting will also be attended by the members of governmental committee and TTP Shura would be apprised about reservations of Pakistan’s government.
It should be mentioned that it will be the first formal contact being made by Pakistan’s government via Taliban’s nominated committee after ending of ceasefire date.
