RAWALPINDI: Zaid Hamid has been busy in ruthlessly criticizing Hamid Mir and Geo TV on social media. He was even furious at Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for making the wrong choice in this crucial issue. And he has urged the armed forces to take some strict action against Geo TV for defamation.
Here are some of the tweets sent by Zaid Hamid from his official Twitter account (@ZaidZamanHamid)
PM Nawaz Sharif:
“#NawazShareef will always remain a political moron. He decided to stand with Geo instead of calming the rage within army/ISI. Bad choice !!”
General Raheel:
“General Raheel, you had promised to protect the dignity of the armed forces at any cost. The time is NOW. Geo must be nailed for Defamation!”.
Mir Shakeel:
“Pak army has demanded that #Geo should be banned, its editorial board arrested and prosecuted ! Now big time problem for Mir Shakeel !”
ISPR:
“#HamidMir ISPR must respond ruthlessly to this blasphemy by Geo. How can a TV channel openly abuse/ accuse/ insult ISI w/o proof?”
Free journalism:
“Now when the army is furious over the most sinister attacks by Geo, these snakes are defending their action under “free journalism” ! #Shame”
Shut down GEO TV:
“When a media house commits propaganda warfare against State & is declared hostile anti-State by armed forces/ISI/MOD then it must shut down.”
