New York: As LG is eyeing to unveil its flagship device LG G3, now new leaked screenshots indicate the new look and design of the device.
Compared to other rumored devices, the LG G3 is a very well-kept secret. While leaks and reports generally abound ahead of big launches, it doesn’t seem to be the case with LG’s next-generation flagship.
The HTC One M8, for instance, has leaked extensively revealing virtually every detail ahead of its official unveiling, yet we know very little about the upcoming LG G3.
That doesn’t mean that the purported LG G3 has been completely absent from the rumor mill, although information has been pretty sparse. The LG G2 successor is expected to come with top-notch specs and features and launch as a real powerhouse, ready to go head to head with the Samsung Galaxy S5, the HTC One M8, and other flagship smartphones.
Based on the few leaks that have surfaced so far, the LG G3 is expected to sport a 5.5-inch QHD display with a whopping resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
The handset will likely be both dust- and waterproof, joining the current trend of more rugged smartphones. The device may also feature a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). There’s no solid evidence to support these claims, but things get even more confusing when it comes to processing power.
While some rumors indicated that the LG G3 will pack a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, others speculated that it would have a MediaTek octa-core chipset, and others said LG may use a processor of its own. With several theories and no proof, it’s impossible to determine which is accurate at this point.
A new leak now gives us a look at the purported user interface (UI) of the upcoming LG G3. The smartphone is expected to boast enhanced personalization features to maximize the user experience, and LG may introduce a new UI with its next flagship.
The leaked image comes from LGG3Kopen (via PhoneArena) and if it proves to be real, there are some changes on the horizon.
The screenshot shows a UI with flatter icons, more in line with the trend Apple and Samsung set. The alleged image reveals little else, so it remains unclear at this point whether LG made some bigger changes to the UI. The LG G3 is expected to debut in May, but nothing is official for now.
