THAR: As people of drought-hit areas of Thar needs fair distribution of wheat and other food items, but unfortunately corruption has been found in the distribution of these items in these areas.
According to inspecting Judge, more than 50 % of wheat in Tehsil Deplo has not been distributed in deserved persons.
Sindh High Court appointed Judge Mian Fayyaz Rabbani to conduct raids and he held food department and other department responsible for uneven distribution of wheat, adding that and all the records of wheat distribution confiscated.
The Judge said mismanagement have been found in more than 50% wheat distribution.
Not a single depo keepers of food out of 255 of food department have not submitted wheat distribution record, he added.
The Judge also raided the government warehouse and schools where he found around 600 sacks of wheat.
On the other hand government appointed relief commissioner Taj Haider has clarified that wheat have been stocked in warehouses of Tharparkar and 66 thousand sacks of wheat distribution process has been underway which will be completed in couple of days.
Whereas another 22 thousand wheat sacks distribution would be started later, he said.
He further added that wheat has been distributed in around one lac and 74 thousand families.
