KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain called for Pakistan Army to take control of the state if they and political government are not on one page regarding military operation against Taliban.
The self exiled leader said that he does not fear critics who will surely blame him for urging army to intervene in politics and supporting dictatorship but he believes that saving the state is more important than democracy.
He urged government and Army to come on one page regarding the military operation in Tribal areas and  exhorted the government to establish a fund for the families of the martyrs of law enforcers and if such fund is established, MQM will also contribute to it.
MQM chief said he would rather support the idea of resolution of issues through a dialogue but stressed that ‘first the writ of the state and Constitution will have to be established; a ceasefire and dialogue come next’.
This is the second time in last two months that MQM founder and leader inivited Pakistan’s armed forces to take over the state.
