ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan strongly condemned the barbaric act of killing 23 FC soldiers held in captivity in Mohmand Agency by a Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan group.
Khan hoped the government and military would let the nation know the veracity of this shocking news.
PTI chief also expressed concern over the fact that these FC men were held captive since 2010 in an area (Mohmand Agency) that had ostensibly been “cleared” by the military. Yet the government at the time, the military and the present government, had all done nothing to secure the safe release of these soldiers who seemed to have been simply forgotten
Following on his earlier statement of condemnation on the brutal killing of 23 FC soldiers, he called on the TTP Central Shura to disassociate itself from the 23 FC soldiers’ killings and announce an unconditional ceasefire to save the peace talks.
