Peshawar: A tiff between two student union groups broke into clashes in University of Peshawar Friday, leaving 15 wounded.
According to details, score of students, associated with wings of two political parties, clashed in the university, using clubs, pelting stones at each other and eventually turning the campus into battle field.
According to sources, the clash erupted when one political group started firing on the group who was conducting a rally against Valentines Day.
Responding to the clash, Police fired tear-gas shells to disperse the students before arrested few of them.
Severe tense gripped the academy as classes were closed and academic process suspended.
The injured were rushed to hospital for treatment.
