WELLINGTON: Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has become the fourth fastest batsman to accomplish 8,000 runs mark in the fifth One-Day International against New Zealand in Wellington.
Dhoni, playing his 214th match achieved this milestone after knocking 214 runs in five ODI series against Kiwi’s.
Before this, Sourav Ganguly took 200 matches to cross 8000 runs, Sachin Tendulkar 210 and Brian Lara 211 matches for this achievement.
