KOLKATA: Pakistan and India combination had together managed to finish the ‘Veto’ power system of Australia and England in International Cricket Council (ICC).
But the case is 180 degree now as India wants Veto power this time dodging Pakistan.
ICC ‘Democratic’ system was with joint efforts of Pak-India members including Jagmohan Dalmiya, Inderjit Singh and Arif Ali Khan, but now India wants to get ‘Veto’ power.
ICC member board official said that world had gone for democratic side, but in the present situation some specific council members were trying to convert the direction towards the old system.
As India wants complete control of ICC in its hands, Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) president N Srinivasan is likely to occupy the chairman seat of ICC.
