Dubai: International Cricket Council (ICC) chief executive officer David Richardson on Friday congratulated Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Zaka Ashraf for his restoration.
In a statement issued here, the ICC chief praised the restoration of Ashraf and expressed hopes to work for the betterment of the PCB.
Richardson assured full support of the PCB for the international cricket to Pakistan.
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) restored Ashraf as the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) chairman on January 15.
The court on May 28, 2013 had declared illegal his appointment in its short order after it was challenged by former coach of the army cricket team, Major (retd) Ahmed Nadeem, citing mala fide intentions in the PCB election.
