KARACHI: The largest air transportation of the country, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), has signalled to induct three new A-320 air buses for provision of modern facilities to its passengers.
A US-based international leading lessor company, GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), has been acquired by the country’s national airlines seeking three new A-320 planes, MD PIA said.
The induction of three A-320 air buses would also play vital role to take out the PIA from severe financial crisis as well as to recover the fleet shortage in the country, MD PIA said during a meeting in Karachi.
The decision was taken on basis of three projection strategy recommended by the aviation experts in order to resolve the deteriorating situation of the national entity, local radio reported.
MD PIA claimed that the airline will soon be out of crisis in result of the difficult and bold decisions taken in the interest of PIA.
It should be mentioned that the decision took place on the time when Pakistan’s government taking firm steps for its privatisation in order to prevent from large-scale losses.
