RAWALPINDI: Search operation has been conducted by the law enforcement agencies on Sunday and arrested over 60 alleged criminals from Hazara colony of Rawalpindi, the twin city of the federal capital city of Pakistan.
Sources said in order to maintain law and order in the city on the occasion of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA’s) Chehlum, police and LEAs have launched the snap search operation in different areas of the police stations here.
As part of this exercise, police on Sunday conducted search operation at Hazara colony in the precincts of Rata Imral police station and took over 60 suspects into custody of them 40 were freed after interrogation, while the remaining 20 still being investigated.
SHO Rata Imral police station said that the investigations are underway from arrested persons.
It is important to mention that the operation was conducted to ensure law and order during the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) scheduled for December 24.
