Islamabad: Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jilani was sworn in as the new Chief Justice of Pakistan on Thursday, The News Tribe reported.
The President Mamnoon Hussain administered oath to Justice Tassadaq Jillani at a ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, former chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry and other eminent lawyers were present at the ceremony.
The ceremony also attended by Federal Minsiters, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, Speaker National Assembly, Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Chief Justices of high court and Ambassadors of different countries were also observe the oath taking ceremony.
