ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has ordered the authorities for vanishing wall chalking comprising of hatred and sectarian comments as well as imposition of ban on slanted loudspeaker speeches.
PM Nawaz Sharif chairs an underway high-level meeting in Islamabad for reviewing critical law and order situation as well as internal and external challenges to the country after the Rawalpindi incident.
According to sources, several prominent governmental officials are participating in the meeting including the Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, Secretary Interior, Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed, Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (DG-ISI), Inspector General (IG) Punjab, Director General Intelligence Bureau (DG-IB).
Initial investigation report has been presented before the PM related to the Rawalpindi incident while Nawaz Sharif was informed that 9 arrestment were made via CCTV videos.
The reports claimed that the negligence of Police officials, present on the spot, was the major reason for deteriorating the law and order situation while 26 suspects were tracked on involvement in the sectarian fight.
PM expressed his outrage over the issue and directed the related authorities to commence proceedings in a special court.
