ISLAMABAD: Federal government has summoned reports, images, footage and other proofs of Rawalpindi incident, leaving at least 10 dead and dozens injured, from Punjab police and local administration to catch the culprits.
According to the sources a high powered commission comprising of a judge of High Court is going to start immediate inquiry of the incident and would record the statements of the eyewitnesses
The commission would also investigate that why the police was not present at the time of incident, while the government would pay compensation to the aggrieved families.
A high level meeting of law enforcement agencies and security officials held under the chairmanship of Federal interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan here in Islamabad.
After the meeting Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan informed meeting about discussion with provincial Chief Minster Shahbaz Sharif on the issue.
