KOT ADDU, Punjab: Law enforcement agency have thwarted major terrorism bid of the miscreants by diffusing heavy explosives outside the central Imam Bargah, Shitte house of prayer, in Kot Addu on Thursday.
Lives of hundreds of Muharram devotees were saved by the ontime action of Punjab police by recovering device bomb of at least 8 kilograms of explosives, police sources said.
Kot Addu tehsil is a very historic city situated in southern Muzaffargarh district in the Punjab province of Pakistan.
Miscreants planted the device bomb in the procession’s path inside begrime outside the Imam Bargah, however, the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) officials diffused it.
More contingents of security forces have been called at the spot and security measures has been increased by the higher authorities.
