ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan’s Federal Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, has made announcement for large-scale gas loadshedding across Punjab province during next three months.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that gas supply will be restricted to domestic consumers of Punjab province in coming three months of December, January and February due to severe shortage.
The announcement increased panic amongst the corporate sector of the province which could lead to number of protests.
He said that the permanent solution to get rid of the shortage is import of the natural resource, whereas, the federal government is taking prominent steps for vanishing the need and supply variations.
The federal minister expressed his expectations for future, said that the visible decrement in the shortage will be seen in next year after the completion of Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project.
