ISLAMABAD: The Chief Minister of the Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province, Pervez Khattak, has threatened the US government for NATO supply closure over non-stoppage of drone strikes in the tribal areas.
Pervez Khattak, the top official of KPK government, was talking to the Pakistani media after visiting PIMS hospital in Islamabad seeking health condition of Peshawar’s Commissioner.
The CM KPK provided his stance by saying that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit to US was completely unsuccessful; whereas, terrorism giving irreversible damages to the country.
Khattak said that KPK government is near to finalise firm decision against US drone attacks.
He said that the war against terrorism is continued since last 10 years but it only gives losses to our country and we are continuously collecting dead bodies.
CM KPK, who is also the prominent leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), clarified that the tribal areas are not included in our provinces but under hold of the federal government, hence visible steps should be taken by the central authorities of the country.
He urged the immediately commencement of dialogues with Pakistani Taliban as all political provided free hand to the federal government while nobody contacted the KPK authorities for the talks.
CM KPK Pervez Khattak was on a visit to the Commissioner Peshawar Sahibzada Anees-ur-Rehman in the Islamabad’s hospital, who was burnt along with an unidentified 29-year-old lady named Asghar Nisar on Saturday, seeking updates for his health conditions.
Khattak said that the commissioner is in critical condition as 100 per cent of his body is affected, however, the doctors stated 48 hours time for his life.
