LONDON: Britain’s Queen Elizabeth has sent an invitation to Taliban shot girl, Malala Yousafzai, for a visit to Buckingham Palace considering her bravery and significant role for female students’ rights, The Sunday Times reported.
Queen Elizabeth’s invitation came after the speculation mounts that Malala Yousafzai would be named as the youngest winner of the Nobel Peace Prize going to be announced on October 11.
The Queen inquired about health position of Malala from Wajid Shamsul Hasan, the High Commissioner of Pakistan. She was shot at head and neck in an assassination attack by Taliban militants in Swat Valley of Pakistan on raising voice for girls’ education rights.
Malala Yousafzai was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, United Kingdom for intensive rehabilitation. She is currently residing in London following life threats from a militants outfit.
