KARACHI: Sindh government has banned issuance of arms licences across the province especially in Karachi.
The decision was taken at a high level meeting at the home department of the province to review measures relating to de-weaponization of the port city.
It has been decided in the meeting that status of all issued licences would also reviewed. Similarly, a timeline would be given to all people having illegal arms to submit their weapons to deputy commissioner offices in the city.
After the the deadline, the law enforcement agencies would hold a crackdown on illegal arms.
