SEATTLE: Amanda Knox saga is hitting the United States media for the third time as her retrial is about to start soon.
The saga started way back in 2007 when Amanda was charged with murdering her British roommate Meredith Kercher while she was studying in Italy.
She had to spend four years in a prison before a group of supporters from Seattle started a campaign for her release.
After an appeal in the Italian court, Amanda and her boy friend who was considered to an accomplice in the incident got released on Oct 4, 2011. However, the story took a new turn in March after Italian Supreme Court rejected the court ruling of their release and ordered a new trial of the couple.
Amanda is not ready to return to Italy where the retrial is going to start on Sep 30 in Florence.
“I could be represented by my lawyers,” Amanda, who even wrote a book “Waiting to be Heard: Memoirs”, said.
