KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) supporters on Twitter wrongly targeted another person thinking him Declan Walsh, bureau chief of New York’s Times in Pakistan, on reporting an investigation report against MQM chief and founder Altaf Hussain.
But unfortunately after long massaging they came to know that they had harassed the wrong man.
On Tuesday, MQM’s supporters feel embarrassed when they came to know that they were not messaging on the real Declan’s account but to the Irish local footballer Declan Walsh.
The movement became more interesting when real Declan Walsh, who disclosed the report against MQM, messaged to Irish Declan Wals in this account and said, “I am very, very sorry. Don’t know if you ever intended to visit Pakistan, but now Pakistan has come to you”.
Irish Declan Walsh replied to New York Times’ reporter, “I didn’t even know what MQM was until a minute ago. I don’t know what article you are talking about. I am not a journalist”.
