KARACHI: Amid his tight political engagements, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif meets family members of Dr Aafia Siddiqui, detained in United States.
PM met with the mother of detained scientists and educationists and assured her that Dr Aafia would be brought back to the country.
“It will be only us who would bring her back to Pakistan,” the premier, who is the port city to overview the lawlessness, said.
Dr. Aafia was given life sentence by a US court on assaulting American marines inciting a stiff resistance from the political forces of Pakistan.
Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar was also with him.
Nisar says that he is personally looking after the matter while giving hope to Dr. Fauzia Siddiqi, sister of detained Aafia, and her kids.
